The Sunday of the Faithful Departed

Msgr Bonczewski begins the special Incense Prayer for all the Faithful Departed of our parish.

Msgr. Bonczewski incensed the books listing the deceased members of our parish placed on the side altar.  There was also a special basket next to the altar containing envelopes with the names of any family members parishioners wish to have included in this special prayer.  The envelopes with family names in them were kept at the Altar for all the Liturgies of the week.

Following the Liturgy, parishioners gathered in St. Sharbel Hall for a spaghetti / meatball dinner.  The gathering was a symbolic Mercy Meal for all the Faithful Departed of St. Anthony / St. George Maronite Community.
 

The ladies of the Altar & Rosary Society prepared and cooked the spaghetti and meatballs.  A very appreciative group of parishioners sampled the fruits of their labor!
