THREE DAYS OF PRAYER IN HONOR OF ST. SHARBEL’S
FEAST DAY
The three days
were Thursday, July 20, Friday, July
21, and Saturday July 23 at 5:30 PM at St. Anthony. At the conclusion of the
devotion each evening we offered the relic of St. Sharbel for veneration and
special blessing.
St. Sharbel is well known as a Saint of Miracles. At his Shrine/Monastery in
Lebanon there is a wall with mail slots packed with testimonies from all over
the world. These letters come in thanksgiving for healings and miracles from
people who are of the
Catholic faith and from those who are not Catholic.
People of all ages tell their many amazing stories about the intercession of St. Sharbel.
The three days of prayer were devoted to praying for healing. The first day we prayed for spiritual healing, on the second day for emotional healing and the third day for physical healing. Anyone could come any night and pray for any and all needs.
We have a beautiful statue and outdoor Shrine to this great Saint of Lebanon. We honored him in a very special way by a Triduum for his Feast Day and a blessing with his relic at the end of the St. Sharbel Feast Day's Liturgy.
