PRAYING FOR PEACE IN LEBANON
On Saturday evening, August 26, a Special Mass for the intentions of a lasting peace in Lebanon and the Middle East was offered at St. Anthony by Bishop Joseph Martino of the Diocese of Scranton. Assisting him was Msgr. William Bonczewski, his secretary Father Christopher Sahd, Subdeacon Crosby Sparks, Senior Altar Server Joseph Ellis, and many of our Altar Servers. A large number of parishioners and visitors came to celebrate and participate in this Special Liturgy. Our Choir made a beautiful contribution to the Liturgy.

A reception for the Bishop was held downstairs in St. Sharbel Hall after the Liturgy. The Altar and Rosary Society did their usual wonderful job in setting up our Parish Hall, organizing and preparing the delicious food, and serving the reception.
A heart-felt "Thank you" to His Excellency, Bishop Martino, for taking time to visit us and join with us in praying for peace in Lebanon and the Middle East.
